Some Pickin' here in Ohio
Hello from the land of the Buckeyes and some perty good bluegrass pickers.Just wanted to give you all a heads up on some great bands headed this way.
The weekend of September 11th through the 13th is the Mohican Bluegrass Festival at Mohican Wilderness 22462 Wally Road. Glenmont Ohio. Phone 740-599-6741. Go to www.mohicanwilderness.com for the whole story. This is about an hour south of Cleveland.
Here's the lineup: Thursday 9/11 is Faces Made For Radio, Muleskinners, Vernon McIntyre's Appalachian Grass, Limited edition Bluegrass Band, Friday 9/12 is Vernon McIntyre's Appalachian Grass, Northwest Territory, Grasstowne, The Hart Brothers Band, Saturday 9/13 is Northwest Territory, Rarely Herd, Carry Hassler & Hard Rain, Bradley Walker, and Karl Shiflett & Big Country. Man what a lineup.

Something much closer is The Cedar Valley Settlers Celebration and Music Festival.
This is right in the Cleveland Metroparks at the Frostville Museum on Cedar Point Road.

This event sounds like a lot of fun and it is FREE!! Date is Sunday September 21st from 11am to 5:30pm.
There will be old-fashioned crafts, folk music, storytelling, games, food and hands on activities.
Musical groups will include: Turn the Corner, Rhondas, and the Fullertones. And...............
THE FAIRWELL DRIFTERS and THE BISCUIT BURNERS! at 2:30pm and 4:30pm respectively.
WOW! Bring lawn chairs and blankies.
